As we move through it in our own lives, it is often easier to forget the immortal complexity that surrounds us at every scale, from the microscopic to the immense. But when we turn our eye to these wondrous details,
these incredible, moving, breathing, slithering, walking, flying creatures which we share this planet with, it brings with it a peculiar type of humility, and a certain appreciation for something far greater than ourselves that we, at the same time, are a small part of. To share this strange communion with the natural world has always been an integral part of the process, and is one of my primary motivations.
